
Nuno Sá, professional photographer since 2004.
Nuno Sá specializes in wildlife photography of marine themes, counting with about a dozen and a half distinctions in major international competitions of nature photography, as well as six published books, and dozens of articles published in national and international magazines.
In 2012 Nuno Sá embarked on a new area of communication, investing in video as a tool for dissemination and environmental awareness, working regularly as a cameraman or director of photography for many of the major international television channels such as BBC, Netflix, Disney / National Geographic Chanel, NHK-Japan, ORF, ARTE, ZDF etc ... which has taken him to such diverse places as diving with sharks in the Bahamas, following the starter migration route accompanying groups of orcas and humpback whales in the frigid waters of Norway, diving among right whales in Argentina or recently spending a month in a remote area of the Colombian jungle diving with humpback whales.
In 2016 he was part of the small team of underwater cinematographers who produced one of the most iconic marine life series ever produced worldwide, the BBC series - Blue Planet 2, being awarded in 2018 with a BAFTA award as well as a Panda award for his participation in this series. The following year he was lead cameraman for the National Geographic Wild channel's do-cumentary "Europes Wild Islands".
In 2019 he produces for RTP 1 channel the first major series about the Portuguese Sea, the series "Mar, a última fronteira" in partnership with the Oceanário de Lisboa and Fundação Oceano Azul.
Currently he is part of the filming team of the Netflix series "Oce-ans" as well as the new Disney series "Ocean Explorers" produced by James Cameron.
